Overview
Caoutchoucs et Plastiques Falpaco Inc. is a well-established manufacturing company specializing in custom plastic and rubber injection molding. Certified as an Eco-Responsible Company since 2018, it is proud to be one of the pioneers who created and grew this movement in Quebec. Falpaco is currently seeking a Material Handler/Receiving and Shipping Clerk.
Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for receiving and shipping merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures. They are responsible for the proper maintenance, cleanliness, and order of all production areas, raw material storage, work-in-progress, and finished goods. He supplies all workstations with raw materials and molds and ensures adequate supplies for the various shifts.
Role and involvement in:
Handling:
Bring raw materials and molds to the designated areas;
Use inventory products in first-in, first-out order;
Prepare plastic mixes for injection machines according to the schedule;
Clean dryers, hopper loaders, and granulators as needed;
Fill and empty dryers and hopper loaders;
Manage "Regrind" boxes and surplus, identify them, and place them in inventory, ensuring they are removed at the start of the next production run for the following orders: Liquidate;
Clear the production areas of finished products (in progress and at the end of production).
Receiving:
Unload the trucks of goods at the receiving station;
Sign the trucker's pro-bill; and check for breakage or missing items, and if so, notify the buyer;
Validate the matching of the packing slip and the purchase order;
Inspect the goods;
Enter the receipt data into the Genius system;
Identify all boxes and pallets of raw materials using the Raw Material Identification Sheet;
Place the received goods in the designated locations;
Bring the order, the Pro-bill, and the packing slip for each receipt to the buyer.
Shipping:
Prepare orders for shipment:
Prepare the boxes or pallets for shipment;
Prepare delivery notes and labels, if necessary. slip";
Apply addressing labels, the "Packing slip" and the "Pro-bill" to the boxes;
Verify the quantities of products, boxes, and pallets to be shipped according to the "Packing slip" and the shipping slip;
Pack the pallets;
Contact carriers and load the goods for shipment into trucks;
Have the truck driver sign and bring the signed documents back to the office.
Warehousing:
Maintain all storage areas for raw materials, work-in-progress products, and finished products in order;
Identify all boxes and pallets of finished products;
Ensure that loading docks are always clean and clear;
Carefully stack pallets outside of the factory;
Place finished products, raw materials, and molds in inventory at the end of production;
Perform inventory counts as needed or upon request.
Other tasks:
Check and maintain your forklift daily;
Check the battery water level and oil level;
Empty all containers and metal bins;
Sweep traffic areas throughout the factory and in the warehouse;
Ensure the clearing and accessibility of factory exits (including snow removal in winter).
Human Resources
Maintain positive relationships with colleagues Work;
Comply with company policies and occupational health and safety regulations.
