Atholville Mill is currently recruiting for the following position: Security Guard – Part-time (Section 78) This position will report to the Health & Safety Coordinator and will provide relief for the Security employees of AV Group for vacation, training, sickness and other absences. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and control access to the mill site for visitors, contractors, and deliveries. - Operate truck scale systems to record inbound and outbound materials. - Maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and weigh slips. - Conduct routine security patrols of the premises. - Ensure site policies, safety standards, and access protocols are followed. - Communicate clearly with site personnel and external drivers. Qualifications: - Minimum one (1) year course with a post-secondary institution in a related field - Previous experience in a security, scale operation, or industrial environment is an asset. - Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email). - Strong attention to detail and record-keeping. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly. - Valid driver’s license required.
