Communications and Recruitment Officer – Office of Global Engagement Position Summary: The Communications Specialist and Recruitment Officer, Office of Global Engagement (OGE), supports the development and execution of international marketing, communications, and recruitment initiatives that align with the institution’s internationalization strategy, with a specific focus on international student recruitment objectives. Reporting to the Director, International Education, this role works with a high degree of independence while supporting the advancement of OGE’s global communications and recruitment activities.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating international marketing and recruitment activities, maintaining OGE’s internal and external communication strategies for international student recruitment, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and international recruitment partners.

Key Responsibilities
\n
Promote and maintain the image, mission, and professionalism of the College and OGE through effective communication with international applicants, recruitment partners, regional representatives, and other stakeholders.
\n
Liaise and provide transparent, accurate, and timely communication with internal stakeholders (NIC divisions, departments, faculty, staff, and students) and external stakeholders, including prospective applicants, post‑secondary institutions, recruitment partners, regional representatives, external organizations, and the general public regarding international programs and educational opportunities.
\n
Interpret and apply institutional policies and procedures where guidance may be broadly defined or evolving.
\n
Recommend, analyze, and implement improvements to processes, tools, and practices based on interpretation of operational and recruitment data to enhance effectiveness and outcomes.
\n
Exercise judgment in organizing work, managing priorities, and meeting operational timelines.
\n
Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of OGE operational goals and objectives.
\n
Provide high‑quality, culturally responsive customer service to diverse global stakeholders.
\n
Manage competing priorities, meet international deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility in supporting OGE initiatives.
\n
Perform other related duties of similar scope and complexity as assigned.
\n
Coordinate and implement international marketing and recruitment initiatives aligned with institutional enrolment goals.
\n
Contribute to the development and implementation of international marketing and communication strategies.
\n
Recommend and utilize appropriate platforms, tools, vendors, and methodologies within approved resource parameters.
\n
Monitor and track the international marketing budget, including expenditures and reporting.
\n
Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and training of recruitment agents and representatives.
\n
Maintain and update the OGE website, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with institutional priorities.
\n
Coordinate and maintain an active and appropriate social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, in collaboration with NIC marketing.
\n
Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of digital and print marketing materials, including viewbooks, program‑specific and language‑specific materials, banners, and displays.
\n
Coordinate student engagement initiatives to support recruitment‑related social media content and scheduling.
\n
Assist in the development and implementation of targeted advertising campaigns; monitor performance and provide input on effectiveness and return on investment.
\n
Monitor and analyze targeted advertising and recruitment campaign performance using CRM and analytics tools, interpreting multi‑source data to assess effectiveness and adjust outreach strategies.
\n
Research, write, edit, and distribute institutional profiles, presentations, and promotional content, ensuring accuracy, currency, and relevance.
\n
Recommend approaches for print and digital media to promote events, information sessions, and special initiatives.
\n
Maintain and provide statistical, institutional, and community information resources to support OGE staff and regional representatives.
\n
Respond to a high volume of recruitment inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and informative communication with prospective students.
\n
Coordinate international and domestic event logistics, including registration, invoicing, and reconciliation.
\n
Produce and interpret technical and analytical reports based on enrolment, recruitment, and marketing data, identifying trends, anomalies, and performance drivers.
\n
Evaluate effectiveness of recruitment and marketing strategies and provide recommendations for refinement of communication, targeting, and engagem
